In the base of the cast aluminum lamp post there is a screw-on inspection hatch with which you can access the electrical connection of the lamp.
For connecting a motion detector, we recommend a radio based detector that is not directly attached to the luminaire but can optimally see the area to be monitored from an elevated position - for example a nearby house wall.
