Small square sundial based on an antique cast-iron original model.
It displays the hours from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Roman numerals. The gnomon (shadow rod) is attached at the top center, casting a shadow onto the hour lines. The hour lines fan out from the gnomon's attachment downward.
In the Northern Hemisphere (e.g., Germany, Austria, Switzerland), the sundial must be oriented so that the baseplate faces south. The shadow rod must also be aligned appropriately for the location.
This sundial is essentially a decorative object.
Four holes in the corners of the baseplate are used for attachment.
(In the product photo, the time is 3:00 p.m. (true solar time))

For a special surface coating, our patina is applied by hand. Effects on the ornaments can be highlighted through this process. With a dual-patina, this effects are even more visible in adding a certain depth to structured surfaces and make it look like old material from bygone areas.
