Historic cast aluminum mail slot plate for wall openings.
The inscription on the mail slot flap can be personalized - for example, with your family name - in raised cast letters instead of “EINWURF.” At the bottom edge of the mail slot plate is an ornate border, with a stylized letter bearing a seal depicted in the center.

This model is a replica of a letter slot plate of the Imperial German Postal Service from around 1900, intended for post offices. The original was made of cast iron and painted blue; the lower section featuring the stylized envelope with a seal was not included.
