Antique Letterbox Plate
Historic cast aluminum letter plate for through-the-wall mail slots.
The inscription on the mail flap is customizable - for example, with your family name - in up to 13 raised cast lettering to replace the standard text 'EINWURF' (for Mail slot). Along the bottom edge of the letter plate features an ornamental extension, the central panel of which depicts a stylized letter complete with a wax seal.
Mail slot dimensions: 4 cm x 26.5 cm
This model is a faithful reproduction of a letter plate from the Imperial Postal Service (Kaiserliche Reichspost) dating back to approximately 1900, originally designed for use on post office buildings. The original piece was cast in iron and finished in blue paint; however, the lower ornamental section featuring the stylized sealed envelope was not present on the historical prototype.
The spacing between the mounting holes for securing the letter plate measures approximately 430 mm x 230 mm; suitable screws and wall anchors are included.
(Figure 6 illustrates a special variant of the letter plate featuring a horse motif in place of the sealed envelope design. This alternative motif is available as an optional upgrade.)

For a special surface coating, our patina is applied by hand. Effects on the ornaments can be highlighted through this process. With a dual-patina, this effects are even more visible in adding a certain depth to structured surfaces and make it look like old material from bygone areas.
