  • The lower-case ß is cast as a capital ẞ (your browser may show it as “SS”)

You can order this customisable doorbell plate with up to 10 raised cast letters (block capitals only; longer inscriptions available on request) featuring your surname or any other personalised text. The doorbell plate is then cast in a single piece from aluminium in our foundry.

Depending on the length of the name or the number of letters, we use different font sizes ranging from 9 mm, 13 mm, 16 mm to 20 mm letter height. The letter height on the doorbell plate shown here, bearing the name ‘DAHLHAUS’, is 13 mm. Two-line inscriptions are also possible.

The doorbell button is simply connected to the existing doorbell wire; four brass or stainless steel screws with wall plugs for fixing the doorbell plate are included. The distance between the drill holes for fixing the doorbell plate is approximately 12.3 cm horizontally and approximately 12.5 cm vertically. If desired, we can omit the drill holes or position them elsewhere.

The back of the doorbell plate is flat; only the doorbell contact connection protrudes rearwards – depending on the doorbell button model – with a diameter of 20 mm, ranging from approximately 7 mm (doorbell button with copper or aluminium rim) to 15 mm (doorbell button with brass rim) for shallow flush-mounted installation.

We offer a variant of this bell plate for fully surface-mounted installation with a total depth of approx. 25 mm on request.

For a special surface coating, our patina is applied by hand. Effects on the ornaments can be highlighted through this process. With a dual-patina, these effects are even more visible in adding a certain depth to structured surfaces and make it look like old material from bygone eras.
